I thought I was crazy or blind when I went up last week &I couldn't find the Sno Park!! Then I found out it was eliminated
So, is there a way to access those areas? I loved going to Kecheelus ridge & Lost Lake etc
Not so much. There is the Lake Kachess sno-park , but then you are traveling up the east side of "Microwave Hill".
One might be tempted to use the new wildlife bridge to access the west side from the Crystal Springs sno-park, but the WSDOT and WDFW have issued rules that people aren't to use the wildlife bridges to avoid discouraging use by wildlife. The bridge and other wildlife corridors along I-90 are monitored with game cameras, so if human use becomes frequent, I would expect some sort of enforcement.
I wasn't privy to the decision to remove the Price creek sno-park, but I believe the west bound sno-park was mostly snowmobiles and the eastbound one lost its utility back in 2001 after skiing across Keechelus dam resulted in a friendly visit from homeland security.
