Two questions....

Is a sno-park pass required to park at the junction of Salmon la Sac and FS46 road?

Is this hike usually safe from avy danger?

Thanks.

Any parking in the vicinity of Salmon la Sac is indeed sno-park.

Not sure about avalanche danger on that hike, haven't been up that one before.

The usual routes definitely traverse avalanche potential terrain.  So avalanche safety training and equipment are highly recommended.

The current forecast for the area is:

Considerable
Dangerous avalanche conditions. Careful snowpack evaluation, cautious route-finding and conservative decision-making essential.

Also, be prepared for a lot of traffic on the road walk in...that's prime snowmobiling territory.
