Can you recommend some good rice krispie style snack bars? A lot of snack bars have a terrible texture. For example, RxBar has the texture of playdough. I tried "Kate's Real Food Tiki Bar" and it had a texture like rice krispie treats which was great: https://www.rei.com/product/151834/kates-real-food-tiki-bar Can you recommend any other good snack bars with a rice krispie treat style texture?

Bake your own adding your own additions to a basic recipe -- it's not rocket science https://www.twosisterscrafting.com/best-ever-rice-krispie-treat-recipe/ Or just buy nuts and dried fruits in bulk from PCC or costco and nibble on those -- less of sugar/carb rush than a rice krispie formulation.

Green Belly Bars are like rice crispie but less sweet and with more protein etc. Deffinitely mostly puffed rice though for a good texture. I ate a few hundred of them (at like 500 cal each!) and am now sick of them. They were really good while they lasted though.

Make your own and add in the good stuff (whatever you like and can tolerate - like nuts, seeds, fruit, etc). In the end, most trail and energy bars have plenty of sugar, so a rice krispie treat isn't any worse if you doctor it up.

Since it had been many years, I decided to whip up a batch of smalo crispies. ...well I had some old marshmallows and thought to put them to good use. It wasn't quite successful. Old marshmallows don't melt so easily.... but they were good enough. I ate the whole half batch in one sitting. Ought to know better by now....

When I grow up I wanna play.
