We are really wanting to go out for a hike this weekend but are not interested in hiking in snow. Is there anywhere within a 2-3 hour drive of Seattle that is snow-free? My understanding is that everywhere from Vancouver, BC down to Portland, from the coast to the Olympics got a fair amount of snow- but I thought I'd check and see if any of you are aware of spots that didn't really get any that would be worth checking out. Thanks in advance!

Southern Arizona. Seriously, some good Coastal Hikes would be my best advice.

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

The "RainCheck" WA webcam map (check the first "non-sticky" thread of the links section) has a handful of coastal webcam links which show the coastal beaches to be snow-free.

Portland virtually snow free when I drove through on Tuesday. Dog Mtn trailhead in the gorge OTH had deep snow.

I haven't been up there personally since the snow, but you might consider the Anacortes area. Lots of room to roam in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands. Much of it is low elevation close to the water, so what snow was there should be melting quickly. Deception Pass SP might be another option.

There is still some lingering snow up here, mostly in the wooded shady areas. Deception Pass was almost completely snow free as of yesterday, but there may still some accumulations in the woods there as well. Perrigo Lagoon should be snow free right now.
