Last month took the kiddos to Salt Creek and hiked to The Cove which is part of the Striped Peak loop. Normally, it’s difficult to keep the kids from being distracted, making even a short jaunt take a while. This time, however, they did pretty well at moving right along using a trick I’ve used at home to keep them occupied — promised to set up the hammock once we got to our destination. The kids love hanging out in that thing and this couldn’t wait to get where we were going. I didn’t realize what a handy day-trip piece of equipment the hammock could be — but I will definitely be packing it from now on. Much better than sitting on a rock or log.
What a great idea! Kids look like they're enjoying it !!!!!
Makes me think I should get one of those.
Not sure how close you are to the Kitsap, but we have a Sierra Trading Post here (10 min from our house) that usually has some pretty good deals on them. They do free shipping if you do in-store pick up. Good excuse to visit the area if you time it right.
