Here we go again. Planning another attempt thru the Bailey Range starting Aug. 4th. We tried it 2 years ago from Olympic Hotsprings side and over Appleton pass through Cat Basin to Catwalk. Unfortunately that route seems to be out this year with road closures. Once out to the gullies, one of our group has a medical emergency and we had to abort and return through Solduc to hospital. It was fortunate that things turned out OK in the end, but the trip was cut short. So we will try again this year. I know it is very early to begin planning, but that is the way I am. It seems the snowpack might be higher this year than last. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone going out into that area would pass on water and snow conditions and pics as they get them.
