I am looking to hike a portion of this trail in the coming weeks.  Does anyone know the snow level in the area?  I do not want to be sleeping on snow or deal with snow-related navigation issues.  Thanks for any info hike-mates.

Thanks for the info.  Looks like access from Stehekin is still a consideration.  I still see snow in the Stehekin webcams.

Interesting.  The one time I got dropped at Prince Creek (2009) they dropped me (us) on the uplake side of the creek.  I wonder why they can't do so until May now.

You used to be able to be dropped off at Moore Point also. That might an option for you? Maybe stay an extra day and relax a bit. It'd be a pretty short hike into Stehekin.

usually, the Lake Chelan Boat company does not drop off at the 'flag' stops until the lake levels have come up from it's winter draw down.  You can find out on their web site when they start dropping off folks at Prince and Moore.  Last year they did indeed drop off at Prince on the uptake side of Prince Creek so folks could access the trail without the hazardous crossing of Prince. cool.gif
