Starting from the Dutchman Flat Sno Park (located across the street from Mt. Bachelor) we took a fairly direct line up the west side of Tumalo to the summit (7775')... then more or less traced our steps back down to the sno park.
Fairly steep, but the excellent views of Bachelor, two of the three Sisters and Broken Top more than made up for the steepness... our 35th hike of the year and the first time we touched snow.
3.1 miles roundtrip, gaining 1460 feet of elevation.
Photos, trailhead directions and downloadable GPS track of our trip to Tumalo Mountain.
