Went out with Carla S., Matt B., and Eric E.
Eric E. basically lead the whole way to the top of the west point of Majestic Mountain 7510. He was only out for the day....but boy that helped as we carried overnight packs!
Notes:
A) Canyon Creek trail is nice.
B) Went up cross country right after Boulder Creek. Some mess of downed trees along the ridge
C) Abandoned Boulder Creek trail is at 4400 on the ridgeline, and the trail is followable.
D) This trail was vital for us to make this trip--boy was I happy about this!
D) We hit snow sometime up this abandonded trail up the valley, and then lost it due to too much snow
E) Used snowshoes all the way to top of Majestic Mountain 7510. I was tired!!!
F) Camp at 6000' was nice on the ridge, and cold during the night!
G) Next day the traverse to 7520+ Majestic Mountain went good with the hardened snow and crampons.
H) No precipitation!
Majestic ridge

That's a lot of side-hill traversing the second day. Congrats on getting two remote summits this early in the season.

Hey Stephan -- nice report!
I like the Canyon Creek trail (a lot) and have done the abandoned Boulder Creek trail numerous times. The BC trail needs to be logged out (have chainsaw, will travel) and that will be a BIG cutting project. Lots of trail restoration as well.
Can you give me an estimate of how many trees are down across the Canyon Creek trail?
Thanks

I would say there were 9 logs across the Canyon Creek trail up to Boulder Creek from the highway.
