Yea just looking for more spots to go. Wondering how much snow is up there still and what the conditions are. I still dont have snowshoes so my main concern was the snopack itself, lol. Any intel would be greatly appreciated, cheers friends!

I read a ski report for Bean Creek Basin / Earl Peak last week -- they were able to drive to about a mile from the Beverly/Bean trailhead before snow blocked the cars. The ford was challenging and the skiing was great.

I just talked with one of the people who hit Earl on skis last week (who was out that day with one of your regular partners, Randy). He mentioned hiking nearly to the Bean Creek Basin floor before being able to put skis on - he said a bit before that but at least an hour of hiking before skinning. And he noted that it's melting fast - e.g. Earl was already looking quite bony. Sounds like they had fun up on the slopes near Bean and Mary's though. The trail to Navaho Pass seems to usually melt out at least a bit faster than Bean, fwiw. Being south facing most of the way helps I imagine.

I was just looking at my trip report from last year because I was thinking about heading back out there this weekend. Iron Peak May 3rd last year. Fwiw... https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8026971
