I didn't realize there are tamaracks in Mongolia.  I know the country is more than just a barren desert, I've seen photos.

Yesterday's Guardian ran a series of photos of Mongolian reindeer herders.  It was the trees that stuck me.  I think people will enjoy looking at these pictures:

Mongolia...? Did you know there were tamaracks in Pennsylvania, some of which are ~100ft tall?

Nope, and I grew up in Connecticut.  Didn't realize they were in northern New England either.  They're a lot more widespread than I ever realized!
