This was going to be a ski trip in late winter, then early spring, finally happened in mid spring. We were prepared to hike the first 4 miles then ski the rest. Instead the road was plowed 7 miles requiring us to hike most of the road, a full-on backpacking trip. Anyway, we made it okay to Obstruction Point where there is still 1~4' snow. However, many of south facing slopes like most of Elk Mtns were bare.
No snow!
