Forest Service Road 1207 (North Fork Tieton River) will reopen May 24th per USFS, and all fire-related restrictions will be lifted

I drove up yesterday and the road is already open and swarming with mushroom pickers. The Round Mountain road is still closed, but 1207 is open. The 1118 trailhead is roped off until the 24th so I am told. The fire was a good one, mostly low intensity though I did see one good swath of dead trees on a slope. Mostly spotty otherwise, the forest looks good.

Thanks for the post, I was enroute to a backpacking trip when that fire started got stopped and told to turn around. I would have been clear of the burn area where I was heading, but may have had a time getting back. I imagine when round mountain opens that will be a good view of the damages from the fire I was up there about a month before the fire so may be able to find some decent before after photos if I go up again this year.
