Try a pair on. REI has them on sale right now, as does Backcountry.
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
They weigh half as much as the hiking shoes I'm used to. That felt like taking EPO.
These are trail runners. Zero drop, no support, just enough cushioning. I did Si and Tenerife yesterday to break mine in, still in love with them at the end. Around mile 12 I started wanting a little more cushion while I was on hard ground, but even then was happy for the trade off. I went back and bought two more pairs. Swoon!
These are about the only shoes I've worn for the past 5 years. After long miles on rough trail your feet get a little beat up. They're not good on snow. Only last a few months if you're doing heavy hiking. But by far the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.
Where should I send your commission check?
My wife likes them already. I was a bit nervous about how thin the soles are, but everything seemed fine chasing my kids around on mountain bike trails today. So far they are great, thanks for the tip.
