Article in Seattle Times (paywall) about this seems they cannot find experienced sewers in the Seattle anymore. Sad

Tactical Tailor in Lakewood seems to be able to retain a staff of sewers and keep people on the payroll. Last time I made an inquiry about the company I was told the owner had just purchased a new Ferrari. Maybe "OR" should consider paying their help a decent wage.

I’ve had a pair of their Versa-liner gloves for years. Pair of fleece liners, and Pertex covers that can be worn separately or together. 4 ounces. Perfect warmth or rain gloves for 3 season hiking.

That sounds great but in 2010 they were subcontracting to a "suburban sweatshop."

Rainy Pass Repair did a great job putting a new zipper into an Arc'teryx jacket of mine. After about a decade the one it came with failed.
