Long day with brother Josh. Used Greg Slayden's GPS tracks. Started at 8, arrived at Sahale by noon. Dropped into Horseshoe basin via snow and class 2 slabs. Played a game of Horse shoes in the basin then followed tracks. I struggled but we summited by 7 and got back to horseshoe basin via glissade in minutes. Took the class 3/4 rib back to Sahale via headlamp due to ice on our original route and slogged to the cascade pass TH arriving at 3am. Many thanks to a climber who went up the previous day making bucket steps in the ice.
You guys suck at horseshoes. Lol. I was recently reading one of Greg's trip reports on Buckner. Good job on what he would call an "insane stunt" (Buckner in a day)!
