Neil & myself headed for mt Daniel on Sunday with what looked like a decent forecast. The road to the TH took us longer than expected with some bad washboards and potholes. We finally started up the trail at 8:45 and made quick work to Cathedral Pass. The "trail" to Peggy's Pond is easy enough with dry conditions.
Cathedral Pass
Deep Lake
Peggy's Pond
There is a climbers path that leads from the meadows up the ridge. We followed this with some easy snow crossings along the way.

Peggy' s Pond & Cathedral Rock
We left the ridge at 7,100' to traverse snow toward the summit. Had easily bootable snow to within a couple hundred feet of the top.
heading for the summit
Storms had begun to buid up across the valley as we reached the summit. Hail and thunder started so we quickly retreated to the ridge and down.

14.5 miles, 8.5 hours, w/ 5,000' gained. Another great day in the mountains!!!
