Anyone tried to get up to Williams Lake this season? Much of the trail burned in the Crescent Mountain fire, and I was wondering how it was looking now, particularly down on the lower sections.

If you mean Williams lake up the Twisp River road very few people seem to get in there, and when they do they don't write reports. Im heading in there in late July.

Was in the area a month and a half ago. I wouldn't doubt it the trail is in rough shape, however those trails get some attention by the horsemen. A few mushroom pickers were in there when I was. I would call the ranger station.

I stumbled across this WTA report https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/trip-reports/trip_report.2019-07-13.0070487953 Sounds like lots of fire-damaged blowdown on the trail up higher, which is what I was afraid of. Well, if nothing else, that will keep the lake basin from getting too much attention.
