Located near Dulzura, the Sycamore Canyon Rec Area provides a nice place to hike when either time is limited or ya just don't feel like doing something super strenuous. On this day I opted for a loop hike, starting @ the Marron Valley Rd. TH, walking along the base of Donohoe Mtn. on its n. side, passing a couple ponds, then looping back via Mocogo Ranch, whose history is still a mystery to me as I can't find much info about it. I'd had in mind to maybe do 3 or 4 miles but it wound up being more like 6.5...even better! smile.gif @ the TH:

Home is where the hiking is. "Peaks that have come and gone four times should halt a man in his steps." -- William O. Douglas A balanced diet is a margarita in each hand.
