If you have never heard of Stephen Pyne...he’s a real authority on wildfire. A MacArthur fellow, Environmental Historian at Az. State U, he has written extensively on wildfire, authoring a couple dozen books on fire and how humans relate to it. An acedemic, but with real experience as a firefighter.
