quick and dirty route info: hike trail to ~7500', traverse generally nne across a broad meadow, then look for best snow/rock line to reach 8600' saddle on gimli's east ridge. follow somewhat conflicting cairns around n side of ridge and then up. class 3. multiple lines cairned on descent, not all work as well as the ascent route.
~7.5mi ~4300' gain
