MacDonald – 7372’ Frances and I started hiking from Chilliwack Lake along the Trans Canada Trail. We turned onto the Radium Lake trail which had a lot of mushrooms growing. Beyond the lake a climbers path goes to the MacDonald/Webb saddle and beyond.

The path petered out above the saddle. We ascended talus and steep heather to the upper ridge crest. You can sort of choose how much scrambling you want on this peak. The summit views were some of the best we’ve had all year. Rexford has the most amazing shape, with steep curving granite ridges and two sharp sub peaks as shoulders.

Beautiful! I see you're hooked on the Canadian peaks now after last year's big success.
