People should be allowed to live where they want, how they want, with no government intrusion into their lives. That's why Somalia is such a nice place to live.

Yeah, because opposing you telling innocent people where they can live based on your *own* goals, is just like somalia. I'd push you on this comparison some more, but you'd merely fold. Seriously, the arrogance inherent to such arguments is startling...but common Once again, not one human being one was placed here to live out your goals, or serve them.

Somalia is a good example of where your lofty (though selfishly motivated) ideals inevitably lead. Another good example is Haiti. In Haiti there are practically no regulations regarding where you can build, how you can subdivide your land, and what land you can clear. It has long been traditional for Haitian farmers to divide their land among their children. After a few generations the result is no one has enough land to make a living on, and land ownership is so fragmented that one farmer may have to walk miles between his various tiny "farms". Since practically every scrap of forest was scoured from the mountains the soil has been robbed of its fertility, thus compounding the problem. Also now there's nothing to stop the hills from just sliding away in every hurricane, burying those penniless farmers in mud. You can see the difference for yourself between a lawless and anarchic society and one with a marginally sensible government from space, on satellite maps. On one side of the border there is the deforested waseland of Haiti, on the other the healthy forests and farms of the Dominican Republic. Where would you rather live?

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities
