It's been 2 months since my last hike/ski (Whitman Crest) so perhaps this day was a bit ambitious. But I spit on pain, so with little beta in hand I left on this peak bagging sojourn. Generally speaking these scrambles are not difficult, but the side hilling and gully climbing eventually got to me; after the last peak (Copper) my scrambling legs were D.U.N. It was getting late anyway to hit Ararat so I made a visit to Mirror Lake before departing the area at 6:30 PM. Then it was merely coping with the legs for the last 7 miles. It sure was good to get out on this beautiful if somewhat muggy day. People were scarce for August and the hours I spent off trail were in solitude. Stats: 22 miles/6500'
