I'd say that weather forecast is pretty good so far. I wanted to get some of my house painted during the dry September days but it looks like the rain will continue for at least another week.

I was going to paint the back deck, but that is on indefinite hold. Rumi

We escaped by heading to Baker City, great weather all weekend then drove back into the crud last night, it was even raining in Biggs. Not looking forward to this weeks wet weather, I have an outdoor day for work tomorrow at a site around 4800' near Wahtum lake, yay. I've got my rain gear all ready to go, but it will be a drag after so much nice weather. I expect to be in the foggy rain all day.

Interglacials happen, dude. Not often by percentage as of late, so enjoy it while it lasts.

I had looked yesterday out to the 22nd or so and was surprised how much cool, wet weather seemed to dominate the period (as in earlier runs warmer weather tended to dominate). Fair weather periods looked relatively short and infrequent. But the GFS I look at has in the past couple of months generally overstated warmer periods farther out and at the same time has tended to overstate the significance of periods of wet weather.
I think you might be right on this one. I bet we get one more day in the 70s but I think this winter will come on quick and be cold and snowy again. Hate to toot my own horn but I was right about the smokeless summer and the cooler and wetter temps for us.

If there was any sea ice at all outside the high Arctic during the Holocene Thermal Maximum, it would have been over by Newfoundland and Labrador, not Alaska: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0277379103002956

Cliff Mass on why our temperatures have been so HIGH this summer. At least overnight low along the coastal areas, that is.

Boy is that true. Please to note the levels of current and previous interglacials. Previous ones much hotter, current one generally +1.5C above the modern 'normal'.
The question is, are your 'facts' derived from processes strictly adhering to the standard scientific method, or from an avalanche of logical fallacies and excuses. A desire for control over other people does not excuse the intentional adoption of non science because ones chosen hobbyhorse does not lend itself to strict adherence of proper method. Ghost hunters don't get mulligans because of the nature of their assumptions, and neither does anyone else. The sheer bigatude of a claimed problem makes strict adherence to actual science more vital, not less. By all means, we can take this here.....
