The vine maple are just starting to blaze. They'll be really good looking in a couple weeks.
The threat of pouring rain kept most people away on Sunday. Only saw two other parties.
Enjoyed the cave at the far end of the lake. Was prepared to take shelter from the rain in it, but the weather held off until I was back at the car. Took the bypass route on the way down to avoid the rock at the lake outlet, as it was still slick from earlier rain.
Stopped in North Bend on the way home to watch a herd of elk graze in a field just before sunset.
Nice work. I was in there (cave) once, no camera at the time. Looks great. How was the brush on the road on the approach?
