Hiked up to Ingalls Lake.
Weather was pleasant with the sun out even though there are several inches of fresh snow. The Larch trees are just beginning to turn colors. It was a popular trail today as everyone is curious about the Larch trees. The best is still to come. Unfortunately no mountain goat sighting today.
Used microspikes for the hard packed snow and icy trail.
Too bad about the goats. Seems like they used to be a fixture. The trip up there I remember best is a hike I took up there with Ice Girl. We wound up eating lunch with a pair of goats, who were eating theirs, about ten feet away! Some of you will still remember Ice Girl's best pic.
It's been awhile, though … 17 years !
That's okay. Your pics are great, even without goats.
Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!
