Jake and I hiked the Freezout Ridge trail to Tiffany, then down/up a mix of trail and off trail to Rock Mountain, across to Middle Tiffany and then back again. The ground was slightly frozen with pillar ice in the morning. Larches turning, my favorite: some green, some mixed, and some golden. Very pretty and open terrain. I was surprised to find water along the route in multiple places, having not been here before I'm not sure if this is typical. Did not visit the lake below Tiffany but it was really beautiful from above! About 12 miles and 4300 gain.
I didn't have time to do Rock, and two years later I still want to. I thought Freezout Ridge was gorgeous (and well named), so was the TH. Looks like you enjoyed better conditions than I did.
Thanks for a great report! 🙂
