For our annual Golden Larch Trip this year, Eileen and I backpacked into Lake Augusta and scrambled up Big Jim Mtn. Some of the larches were in prime color, but most were not quite ready for prime time...and perhaps never will reach full color. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful area and well worth a visit. Very nice pictures! I had hoped to get to Lk Augusta this fall but didn’t make it, so I appreciate the images! Such a cool area.
