Went for a run up buck creek yesterday. Trail primarily snow free all the way up to buck creek pass. Wanted to loop out from little giant but snow got deep heading that way so instead went and Slogged up the slopes (small patch’s of snow here and there) above buck creek pass had a long lunch break on a flat section of helmet butte summit block. Watched a big slide take place of the chocolate glacier that threw a ton of debris in the air all the way into the Suiattle River. Weird being that deep in the alpine this time of year but no complaints here.
Nah, my dog had a bell on so she usually deters any sightings when she’s with me. Saw some bear scat in the burn area of buck creek though. I did see some deer on chiwawa river road about half way to trinity.
