After solo hiking this pk. 3 months earlier, I opted to take my group up to see the nice views & return via a different way than we came up, making a nice little loop out of it. Not as many flowers this time, but it was still a pleasant day, albeit a little warm.
We parked off of Kitchen Creek Rd. & headed NW up to the ridge, hitting the high point 1st & then going over the ridge to the lower but more exposed southern peak. We then found a trail from the saddle going back down to the valley & parking area. This is a very short but steepish hike, so doesn't take very long to do.
