Once again I was working in the right area @ the right time so I was able to sneak in a hike during my lunch break, & just hoped that the bosses wouldn't GPS me since this definitely took longer than your typical lunch break time.
This is a mini mtn. located to the west of San Miguel Mtn., a much larger peak w/towers on top & that is now officially off limits due to cranky, wealthy homeowners @ the base. Mother Miguel has since seen much more business, so bad in fact that the trail has had to be repaired due to rampant switchback cutters who are clueless when it comes to hiker etiquette & erosion of hillsides. I once had someone in my hiking group who was a switchback cutter, in particular on this hike, & I promptly booted her out. She's now making enemies elsewhere.
