Any year that ends with continued good health is a good one, but I had some exceptional trips this year, notably the 10 days I spent in Peru (including hiking the Inca Trail) with my daughter and a week of cycling in Italy based in Riccione. My hiking miles were quite a bit less than last year but I had some quality trips, peak bagging in Mt. Rainier National Park well into November, doing two versions of RIMROBOD (Short Course and Century) and one good backcountry ski trip to Whitman Crest and the Fryingpan Glacier. My daughter and I even borrowed my son’s dog and did a two day trip on the Sauk River. I also included clips of my usual layovers as my 37 years in aviation are coming to an end. This video is mastered in 2.7K so please expand for the best viewing experience.

Animal fragments: just cool stuff I saw in my travels this year. The large silver wheeley thing is a custom "one of" manual slicer that resides at the Hotel Belvedere in Riccione; our week there cycling saw incredible food everyday.

Awesome! Great photos, music and editing. I spent a week at Hotel Belevedere fall 2017--best cycling vacation ever! There's no one like Marina, is there?

What, no North Coast of Greenland?
Great music, great snippets, great year.
Thanks for putting this together and sharing.
And congratulations on such a long and productive career!
Maybe you'll have time now to really get to know Mount Rainier.

Also wanted to say that I am impressed by the ground speed. Quite the tailwind. The animal fragments I was referring to were the ones in front of the LSWT ("large silver wheeley thing"). What wasn't clear was quite what it was doing to said fragments. Enquiring minds want to know!!!

It’s a very fine slicer of pork.
