|This little unnamed peak is located in the Pine Creek Wilderness area & sports great views & few people. I'd been here a few times before but it'd been awhile so it was time to check it out again, & bring a couple peeps who hadn't been there before.

The hike starts out on a dirt rd., then we turned right/east on the Espinosa Trail & began our descent to Pine Creek.
Not much water left
After crossing the creek, the trail climbs & traverses the south slope of Pk. 2,643' 'til it reaches a saddle NE of Pk. 3,024'.
@ this point we left the main trail & followed an obscure route to the summit.
Looking east shortly after we left the trail
Soon we were on top.
On the summit
Froggy enjoying the view
After a restful stay atop the peak, we headed back down the way we came. @ the creek crossing we encountered a party of 3, one of whom was a LOUD TALKER who wouldn't STFU as they followed us out. We finally had to pull over & let the LAMF pass.
Back on the Espinosa Trail
Looking back @ the pk.
Otherwise, the hike was nice.
Home is where the hiking is.
