This is a 2375' point at the confluence of the Potlatch and Clearwater Rivers near the small town of Juliaetta, Id; about 15 miles east of Lewiston. This is BLM land and used for grazing. No cows seen during my hike but lots of cow-pies around. I parked at an old cattle gate on Arrow Highline Rd which crosses the Potlatch just before highway 3 joins highway 12 on the Clearwater. There are interesting basalt outcrops on the ridge up before it flattens out. Some odd mounds are located near the top as well. The benchmark is on top of one of these mounds underneath the power lines. Great views up and down the canyon of the Clearwater as well as up the Potlatch to the little town of Juliaetta. A short and scenic hike of 3.3 miles RT and 1200' of gain. A pretty good trail switchbacks up the ridge. I did this hike in early summer as well and there is a nice flower show on the slopes.
