Scrambled a bit off a popular trail on a sunny weekend... and then put on a bigfoot suit and prowled around just at the edge of the vision of the hoards somewhere difficult to reach?
Seems like this should happen more often then it does. Don't do during hunting season though.

I would be worried about getting shot, hunting season or not. A Bigfoot trophy mounted in the den is a dream of many...

I have an out of focus Bigfoot costume, but I didn't buy it at REI because I heard they're expensive.

You have to target specific groups to be effective at this

In the mid 70's, i was teaching skiing at Crystal, and was couch crashing at a cabin in Greenwater. They had a bigfoot costume, which I put on, and went into the woods off the road a bit (at night), trying to get the attention of vehicles on the road. One stopped, and someone got out, as I recall with a rifle. I ran further into the woods and hid behind a tree. Fortunately he didn't pursue. My adrenaline was off the charts. Stupid move, in retrospect.

No, but we did sneak up and trigger a friend's game camera wearing a Pennywise/It mask.

Lol. Perhaps its not the safest idea ever. On popular weekend trails the guns are pretty few and far between though.

My brother-in-law did that one their lake property in Texas during a family event. When he was ready and hidden, we adults got the kids together to take a walk. When he jumped out of the shrubbery and started chasing, it was funny as hell, watching all the kids scream and scatter.
No better entertainment for adults than scaring (scarring?) the bejeezus out of a bunch of little kids.

Not far away as I recall, but I don't think that close. I think it was one of several all together like townhouses, or maybe separate. Been too long. Those were super fun days. Some years prior I was deer hunting in that general area, and saw a black bear. Or maybe it was bigfoot.

Had this little poster displayed in the front window when Metskers had its Alderwood location. More than once had folks come in wanting to sign up for the tour. Often thought I should create one (a tour), get a co-worker to put on a bigfoot costume (Larry was just about the right size), and take them out to Downey Creek (known Bigfoot habitat). ).

I really wish I could find a funny video I saw awhile back.
It was of two guys in bear suits. They were at the edge of a road just acting like a couple of bears scrounging around in the brush. They waited until they had several cars stopped with people taking pictures and video then they stood up and started dancing in sync.
