A long time ago I drove my bike up to Marblemount, and rode out to the closure at the Ross TH. I took a picture of my bike at the gate, and a cross country skier took my picture up there. That's when I learned that you can ski 20, I had thought at the time that nobody did it because of avy danger. A lightbulb turned on over my head, you can still enjoy some of these places you love even in winter.
When I rode it, it was partly sunny.
I've always loved Diablo Lake.
Panos, then and now.
Yeah, I know, skis are backwards for a pic. They had iced up immediately so I wiped them down.
Here's Ross Dam. There's literally a waterfall of fog pouring down from Ross to Diablo.
It was storming pretty hard, so I thought this was a good place to turn around. Here's a photo not much further up the road from a bike ride a couple years ago.
