Last spring was a time for a lot of local, lesser-used trails as we got short-changed on desert season due to the ABDSP closure. Various other trails were closed as well, but thankfully I know of a handful of BLM or CDFW or other regional park areas that had open trails and few ppl.
The walk to the upper Otay Lk. (it's a reservoir) is brief, but still a nice lil jaunt for some fresh air.
