five victims tested positive for the skookum and jolly viruses. self rescue from beautiful weather and views was performed with snowshoes, ice axes, crampons and small doses of headlamps. the rescue route was in perfect condition and the rescue vehicle traveled on a plowed, paved road. the survivors are currently reported to be feeling fine, but hoping for another dose of mountains soon. :>)

Big trip! I did Jolly via that route once with snow and that was more than enough for one trip. Congrats on getting Skookum too. Did you have trouble finding the trail up that valley starting from the road? I did.

glad everyone's recovered. not sure i want to go hiking with you though since it always seems to end with someone getting stabbed with a pole or axe.

extreme difficulty, just like the whole trip: followed a boot track that actually corresponded to the gps data i had. therefore the difficulty was putting one foot in front of another and occaissionaly having to interrupt our conversation a few moments to either look at the gps or the terrain. those moments where not often. :>) ps - love seeing your trip reports. just read your north ridge of mailbox t/r and really enjoyed it :>)
