Well your 100% wrong go look at the King County Assessors site for this and you will find it is owned by George Wilson. I talked face to face with him. Its your choice weather to trespass or not plain and simple.

It's been established that George owns the land. What people are saying is that the road itself is public.

Having lived up there my whole life it's been known that the road thru and the land is privately owned. It was previously owned by Georges relatives. It was selectively logged in the 90's. It's unfortunate that tweakers and garbage jumpers have ruined public access and is monitored. Cleveland mtn can always be accessed from Miller River side.

Give us a link. Highlight, control "c", control "v." I need to see more than that the road goes through private land, you need to show that the road is not covered by a public easement.
Frankly, I'm hoping you can do that, so I can learn how it is done. But I don't think you can.

Cleveland was almost named Harrison Mtn. The citizens of Baring decided to name the peak after whoever won the presidential election of Grover Cleveland vs Benjamin Harrison. Cleveland of course was victorious.

There are several up there. Sounds like you found the Grand Central. There is an abandon road at the first switchback corner that has at least 3 other mines. If I could remember their names I could pull up the plat maps.

You can buy those signs at the hardware store and put them anywhere you like. If you had any legitimate info about this location you would have posted it by now.
The issue of "No Trespassing" signs on mining claims has come up before. The folks with the mining claims put them up to discourage folks from filching ore. But as far as I was able to establish, while the filching of ore is illegal, crossing a mining claim on public land is not.

Interesting! Yes, the photo looks like the mine I found (though all mines looks similar and I didn't go in, so I don't know what is inside). Do you happen to know what was mined in these mines?

Hard to say what they were after. It's not listed in Bulletin No. 23 "Metal Mines of Washington" or Bulletin No. 37 "Inventory of Washington Minerals part II". The only reference I have for it is "Discovering Washington's Historic Mines, Vol 1" (fun book for history), That book says the major metals were antimoney and gold.
