FS Road 41 out of Easton (Cabin Creek Road) was not used for many years due to a washout. Is the road still not working or has there been repairs made. The only othe option is to take Exit 62 and go way out of the way. Please let me know. Thanks.

was still obliterated 3 years ago. that stretch of cabin creek looks like it would take major engineering to maintain, the river valley is very narrow and shows evidence of repeated massive flooding

14 years later...does anyone know if this road is open, or if you can get around the washouts on a bike going south from Easton? Thanks!

As of 2018, it was still a no-go. Not sure it will ever be repaired. In addition to the monster washout below the Tacoma Pass junction, the old bridge approaches are gone leaving the truss section sitting on gravel bar. We biked from Greenwater to Easton. Both obstacles are passable on foot/bike--the latter at low water.
