Wow! I did the virtual tour of the M building. I wonder how much a student (or most likely) parent would have to pay per month for living there. My brother and I paid $75 per month for our apartment. Of course that was many many moons ago.

Jim K, Thanks for the link to the gas works and park. Very interesting and fills in another gap in my Seattle history.

Whoa. Gasworks looks a lot "grimier".
That's pretty impressive Schroder--shooting such photos when you must have been a wee lad. Was that with a Brownie? ~z

Stage 3, Tour de Everett: Port Gardner neighborhood was the Queen stage, with several punchy climbs up the mighty Rucker Hill and Colby Ridge. The stage was broken up into a stage 3a and another 3b the next day, due to the entire peloton striking after such an arduous route. https://www.relive.cc/view/v4OGmL3wQmq

I didn't get any pictures and don't want to post the views and blow my spot, but I saw a turkey vulture today. Circled about 20' above me a few times, I didn't know we had them in Western WA!
Was trying to identify the raptor since it was so big, but the wing edges were more like a crow's. Then boom! That bald red head came in to view.

They arrive around mid-March. Leave late in the fall.

from KOMO:
Quote: | ...Victoria Compton, executive director of the San Juan Economic Development Council, reiterated that message.
"We will get through this, it's what Washingtonians do," she said. "We need to stay home, we need to stay well. (San Juan) islanders love you and we're eager to welcome you after the stay-home order is lifted. But the alternative is unimaginable." |
Thanx

Nice morning run from Wallingford out to the waterfront and back via Seattle Center and Westlake Ave. Early enough to beat the crowds and everyone was keeping their distance.

Hi Mike, appreciate the concern. Although I do live and work in Seattle, my permanent address is in Friday Harbor. Ive been up here since early March, before all of the government mandated "Stay At Home Orders" were issued. We've been self quarantined on the island since then, and haven't left once. I don't think an isolated drive down to Cattle Point for sunset put anyone at risk more than a routine trip to the grocery store would!

Sorry, didn't realize that. We were down there as well last evening. A couple groups of mainland cyclists not being responsible kinda left a sour taste in my mouth which triggered the reaction.

Opus, you are really getting some outstanding shots.
