Anyone involved in building of this park? It's an interesting park that very few know exists.

I lived in the area and helped clean up trash from the site in 2005, pre-contrstruction. Lots of needles and nasty stuff. It's basically the first Evergreen MTB project in the state.

Over the years I've ridden Colonnade. Here are some old pics of the park:

I've learned over the years that Colonnade is much more than just a mountain bike skills park. It's about any wheeled vehicle either being one, two or maybe four tiny wheels?! Cross bikes, walkers, trail runners, rc enthusiasts, folks planting tulips, families and those seeking a place out of the rain. I've heard musicians and a kid singing while their parents listened... It is a city park so you'll see some things you won't agree with but for the most part the park has a good bones and a good heart!

Yesterday I went for a walk and disposed only a few sharps... Epic turn out yesterday, families with kids riding BMX and MTB's. So cool to see, makes the thankless job of brushing worth the scratches and sweat. Moms and dads riding with their kids! up.gif On my way out I saw yet another family of riders! Also saw two guys with 1:10 scale radio controlled rigs rolling down the waterfall. I've heard of RC'ers at Colonnade... A shout out to Dicey, good to see a NWhiker getting in some urban elevation gain!

Very cool picks Bruster! I used to live in the area and ride my gravel bike on the tame parts. It was also a good shortcut coming down the hill into lower Eastlake.
