I have a reservation for a campsite at a Washington State park for this Monday and Tuesday nights! Yay! And it’s at the beach. I’ll be safe in my camper van, with my own bathroom, and social distancing in my canoe. Maybe I’ll see that wolverine. I’ve been dying to get to the Copalis Ghost Forest, and canoe the Humptulips.

Well, I re-aggravated my grade three sprained ankle from six weeks ago. Now I face a terrific uphill battle: convincing my GF that just because I can’t do any chores or errands Fri-Sun doesn’t mean I can’t canoe Mon-Wed.
I had to cancel, cost me $16, but I wasn’t going to take a spot then not show up. I probably won’t go until Tuesday, spend one night only. I was going to Pacific Beach SP, in one of the back row non electric sites in the B loop, the $27 kind.
There are some campgrounds that appear to be reservable via recreation.gov, but appear to still be in the camping closure zone. Willaby in the Quinault area for example. Not a state park, but still.
I'll also be heading out to the coastal areas and it would be sooooo nice not to have to sift through so many question marks.
