Me too. Too many rock concerts in my younger years!! Especially bad was the Edgar Winter (Johnny's brother) concert in around 1971. So loud I'm surprised my ears weren't bleeding after. As mentioned about, the Grateful Dead were a nice exception.
Anyway, for me it's a constant hiss that never goes away, although it's louder if I'm exposed to loud noises, or even my headphones turned down to the quietest setting they will accept! But it's never kept me awake and most of the time I just don't focus on it. |

Reading this thread makes me glad that I have only attended about a dozen Rock Concerts and have fairly recently taken up using a chain saw.
I recall going to see Van Halen in Minot, ND in 1978, a couple of my friends went up and sat right next to the speakers, they didn't hear right for a while, if ever.

VH fan? Have you seen Joe Rogan (on YT) interviewing DLR? He's an interesting fellow, a climber and kayaker!
So the supplements that I thought made a difference, don't actually. A total bummer. |

Pretty big fan, not so much of Van Hagar...I will check out that video, thanks.

Have had pronounced tinnitus for many years. Fortunately I'm able to simply ignore it most of the time. I really only notice it when the subject gets mentioned or I'm somewhere where it's REALLY quiet, like that lake I was at a couple weeks ago.
As a teen I attended a lot of big concerts at the Tacoma Dome. Got right up next to the speaker stacks at Judas Priest during their "Turbo" tour. That was the loudest thing I ever experienced up until I saw Fishbone at the Crocodile about 5 years ago. Holy crap, I can't imagine anything being louder than that. I'm surprised the windows didn't fly out of the place. Stuffed my ears full of toilet paper and still couldn't hear for a couple days afterwards.
