Drove the long way back to Idaho after a visit to Seattle and hit some peaks along the way. Mostly drive ups and short hikes except for Aeneas Mtn which was around 11.5 miles and 3500' of gain up the NE side.

North Mtn (Darrington) and Goat Peak (Mazama).

Some cross country on Aeneas Mountain near Loomis. Property owners on the south side don't take too kindly to trespassers using the summit road so we walked up public land on the NE side.

Cool report and pics - thanks for sharing your trip report.  I am not a lookout expert by any stretch but I really enjoy visiting them, or the sites of former lookouts.  I like to read up on their history as well.  You just added a couple of destinations to my wishlist!  Thanks

I love the Keller Ferry!  I worked with a woman whose friend got the job as the pilot when the other guy retired. I think it'd be a cool job.

Such a beautiful drive; from Republic, onto the ferry and then up, up, UP to Wilbur for a hamburger & strawberry shake (real strawberries), then to Grand Coulee, or continue beyond Wilbur for some vast wandering.

Nice photos; looks like a wonderful trip!
