Likely my last ski trip in this short spring season, we camped at Crag View Tue and skied off the summit next day. There were many cars on this late pm, easily 50 probably more, but had only one group of three skiers at the camp. I guess most people go to Park Butte, Railroad Grade, etc. Maybe looping Scott Paul counter-clockwise.
Crag View is at the foot of Squak Glacier which is popular with skiers since it's more fall-line and less crevasses to navigate. We had steady breeze Wed, but pretty warm except the summit plateau. The snow was a bit on warm side but very ski-able, at least down to about 7k' then it was bumpy sun-cups to our camp and to the trail.
Nice dry camp with view:
No comet visible from here ;-(
Not sure about the weather, especially about the strong wind:
Usual crater break:
Roman Wall was soft for skinning with one wrinkle to negotiate:
Soon lovely skiing after skipping the true summit:
Nice to have good visibility:
More pics here.

Gorgeous! Crag View is a really cool place. Love the vista of the Squak and Sherman Peak from around there.

Great pictures!
Fortunate for you to have the Squak still a- go. Often it is 'closed' at around 9,000' by now. Still the best moderate ski line on Baker IMO.
