If I could only sneak back to Banff now - or 2 months ago. Sounds almost like it's the way it was when I first lived there: Tourist towns seek locals after international visitors vanish. Cheers for Canada!

Thank you Pyrites. It's just like a weekend day up here, pissing rain. At least Saturday looks promising for a hike. I for one would like to go to North Cascades park but looks like that's not gonna happen for a while. Went to Whistler Village a couple of weeks ago, it was very quiet.

I remember one Dominion Day fishing Nimpo Lake in a blustery wind. All the mountains WSW and SW had fresh snow down to maybe 1,000 - 1,500’ above the lake. We froze out and went and fished in beaver dams instead. Best.
