A few mosquitoes here and there, however, they were largely minimal. I think that I got three or four bites. I often preface my remarks on bugs with the fact that I'm from the muggy south, so I feel that I've never run into "bad" bugs in the PNW.
Correct, there was a larger snow bank blocking the road on the way up to Slate Pass. I would imagine that it'll be gone and the road free to Slate after this week.
It'll certainly be open to Slate Pass now. There was a brave suburban than plowed through the last snow bank while I was getting ready to depart at my car... They about slide off the side of the mountain.
