With the Red Bus not running due to COVID, I'm trying to figure out how to get a group of 6 backpackers and their packs up to High Bridge from Stehekin in mid-August. Does anyone know of alternate options we should consider? Many thanks!
You could rent a cabin from the bakery. Comes with a Subaru. Of course you have to fill the tank and have someone who is not in your hike group to do the driving.
Might make a nice overnight for the wife?
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,I took the one less traveled by. And that has made all the difference.

Thanks. I'll look into this option. Although it's the wives doing the hiking. Maybe the husbands could stay behind, but they'll be doing the childcare, cooking and cleaning back home.
Still open to any other suggestions on transport. Thanks!
There are bike rentals too I think, though the bikes have to get back somehow. Maybe you could pay the rental place a fee to go get them. Or maybe you could just pay somebody at the lodge for a ride up.
Really interested to know how this works out. I am thinking of plans for my annual early September trip and that part of NCNP is a place I have not yet visited...
